This site is supposed to highlight some of the best of what Victoria has to offer. It could be Italian restaurants, patios, pumpkin carvings and even hikes.
Today I wanted to shed some light on some amazing 1 star reviews of Victoria businesses on Yelp. Most reviews are pretty standard and bland. Not these ones! So, without further adieu, let's get into 'em!
"I'm sure Safeway could sell some wet canned dog food comparable to what we just ate."
Now you might be thinking this is a review for a place like Boston Pizza or Red Robin. Nope. It's a review from Clive's Lounge! I've only eaten here a few times. But I was obviously intoxicated so they might have been serving me wet cat food. Seriously, though, who goes to place like Clive's and expects good food? It's a cocktail lounge Tara. P from the West End of Van City!
"...this is where the vapid bleach blond, faken'bake Victorians can be found."
Keep in mind this review was posted in 2008. Was Victoria really that far behind in the times compared to Fairfax? Cactus doesn't get enough credit for their menu. I've always had great meals there.
"They were not willing to make me an unsweetened ice tea."
For a country so obese, I'm amazed they have unsweetened tea. Lipton would sell a lot more iced teas down there if they added some sugar like all the other soft drinks. Hey Betsy, unsweetened iced tea tastes like crap, that's why we don't serve it up here!
